A fast-turnaround, forensic investigation into the Columbia Space Shuttle disaster for Channel 4's flagship science strand Equinox.
 
Filmed, edited and broadcast just 23 days after being commissioned, it laid the blame on debris hitting a design weakspot under the wings, the same verdict as NASA's own investigation concluded 9 months later.
 
This production marked my directorial debut. I was dispatched to interview key experts, which became a mainstays of the programme.
 
The film itself was Produced and Directed by Alex Hearle, and credit for the overall documentary lies fairly and squarely with him.
