With her boyfriend, Ian Brady, Myra Hindley carried out the most notorious crimes of the 20th Century.
 
She was sentenced to life imprisonment for the kidnap, torture, and murder of  five children.
 
Recently released documents reveal that inside Holloway, Hindley became increasingly desperate to gain parole. But an event in the prison in 1973  put pay to any chance of release.
